South Carolina Symbols and More by Ohme

I finally published a new lens and am quite proud of it. I have found that my niche is my hometown of Pendleton SC so I have been wanting to write a lens about the Great State of South Carolina. This would be a wonderful opportunity to feature some of the great lenses that are members of our South Carolina Group. This lens is full of information which took me quite a long time to pull together. It looks like it was easy to do since I did use Wikipedia a great deal throughout but it was probably the most difficult one that I have done. I really enjoyed it though and learned a great deal in the process.

I still want to add some of my favorite South Carolina Authors and Artists and will try to get that done before the week is out.

Please take a look and feel free to leave a comment. Thank you.

My First Christmas Gift This Year

My sister, Joan4, sent me my Christmas present and told me that I would probably want to put it under our tree.  Well, I can’t stand to wait and of course, I had to open it immediately.  She sent me a “Squid Addicted” mousepad.  It is so neat and I love it.  Also, a Squidoo Magnet that I now have on my refridgerator.  I do love Squidoo and she is the one that introduced me to it. I have already changed out from my “Friends of the Hunley” mousepad that was looking pretty bad. It was beginning to look as old as the Hunley. In case you didn’t know, The Hunley was the first submarine to sink an enemy warship. It was a Confederate Submarine and sunk during that famous mission. It has been recovered and ongoing research continues to provide us with valuable information about what happened on that mission. hmmmmmmmmm. Sounds like a lens to me. I will have to work on that.

So now I am proud to have a Squidoo Mousepad and it has already inspired me to make another lens soon! Thank you, Joanie!

Our other sister, Betty, has been at Joan’s this weekend and they have been working on a lens together.  It is wonderful.  Please take a few minutes to read this lens filled with some very important information for anyone who works with a special needs child.

What I Want For Christmas

I really, really want a small video camera so I can make some quality YouTubes for my lenses. I have been just using the video option on my Canon Power Shot but they are only 3 minutes and the quality doesn’t seem as good as some that I have seen. I have decided to ask Santa for one of the new pocket sized video camcorders and need your help. There have been two recommended to me and I would sure like your opinion. I have both of them on my Cards lens with a poll and would appreciate your voting for the one you think is the best. Will you help? Thank you, Ohme

Lego Products

Lego Products are hard to beat for a gift idea especially for the in between age. You know that age when a child thinks he or she is too old for toys but isn’t really. My grandson is 9 years old and is in that stage of life right now. He still enjoys playing but there is a part of him that thinks maybe he is too old to “Play”. I don’t feel like you ever get too old to play and evidently that is the same attitude that Lego has. They offer something challenging and exciting for all ages. Just check out my lens and you will see what I mean. From Toddlers to Adults, there is something for all.
